ABOUT
Stefan Nitsolov
My name is Stefan Nitsolov. I was born in Sofia, Bulgaria, one of the oldest capitals in Europe, which is located in a lovely plain, surrounded by high and picturesque mountains. This by itself, is already an incentive to art, since the nature of my country is diverse and beautiful. During my high school years, I developed various interests including literature and art. However, the influence of my math teacher and my parents prevailed and I steered towards science. My whole professional life has always been centred around science – I received an MS and PhD and worked as a researcher and a university professor.
I discovered the magic of creating digital art quite late, after I had already gained some experience in digital image processing. Although my first results were mediocre, I enjoyed this activity so much that I continued to experiment. Drawing on the computer fascinated me and gradually became a life necessity. Art brings me excitement and joy.I have created abstract and figurative painting as well as fine art photography. Most often I was engaged in abstract painting, which gives unlimited freedom to the imagination.
Since computer programs can imitate various classical painting techniques, I use different techniques, mostly oil paints on canvas. The end results of my work are high resolution digital images that can be printed on canvas, paper or any media.
I strive to create bright and bold artwork. I like the variety. I feel free in my search for beauty and enjoy creating different, often unexpected combinations of colors and shapes. The sources of my inspiration are scattered all over the world - my beautiful country Bulgaria, Russia, Africa, Western Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia. I hope to convey to others the exhilaration and spiritual upliftment I feel when I paint. My work was presented in three exhibitions in Kuwait: a joint exhibition with Margaret Graham on 3 - 9 April 2016 in GUST (Gulf University for Science and Technology), April and two personal exhibitions on 1 February 2017 in GUST and on 2 - 31 March 2017 in the Bulgarian Embassy in Kuwait.
Today, there is a boom in artificial intelligence (AI) text-to-image creation methods that generate images based on given text prompts. Using these methods, I got some interesting results, the best of which are shown in the AI menu section. Although these methods are now widely used, the generated images so far rarely respond accurately to more complex prompts and often have various defects. Therefore, all the AI pictures on the site were edited and changed according to my requirements.
